An extension trip to Laos where two-thirds of the country is primary rainforest, the largest waterfalls in Asia tumbles precipitously down huge boulders into Cambodia and Vietnam. Stop with a visit to the Pak Ou Caves - this is your romantic introduction to Laos and Luang Prabang. In Luang Prabang, you explore the palaces and countryside, stopping at several textile villages and shops along the way. Your final stop is in the capital, Vientiane, where you can focus on the textiles and weavings, as well as explore the market, temples, and city itself.

Day 1: Vientiane arrival (L, D)

On arrival in Vientiane, transfer to your hotel, check in and have lunch.
After lunch we will take a short city tour in Vientiane with Wat Sisaket, where thousands of statues of Buddha in wood, bronze, and stone are displayed. The tour includes a stop at Wat Pra Keo, original home of the Emerald Buddha that now resides in Bangkok, the 16th century.
Next to Pha That Luang, the most important national monument in Laos –symbolic of both the Monarchy and the Buddhist religion – then to the Patuxai Monument, reminiscent of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris and offering spectacular views over the city. Dinner with Lao folk dance at local restaurant. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 2: Vientiane- Luang Prabang  (B,L,D)

Transfer to Wattay Airport for a morning flight to the former royal capital, Luang Prabang. It is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos.

This afternoon enjoy a guided walk through the streets of Luang Prabang with a visit to a number of temples, including important Wat Xieng Thong, the most magnificent temple, Wat Visun, Aham, Wat Sene, Wat Mai and the Mount Phousi with panoramic views over the city should not be missed. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 3 :Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves - Luang Prabang (B, L, D)

After breakfast in the hotel, we take an excursion by boat upstream on the Mekong River to the famous cave of Pak Ou. The Pak Ou caves are located within the steep rock-cliff, which rises vertically from the waters of the Mekong River at the point where it meets with the Nam Ou River.

The lower cave, called Tham Ting, and the upper cave, Tham Prakachay, shelter numerous Buddha images of varying styles, ages and sizes, which have been brought to the cave by generations of Buddhists.

We have a picnic lunch and then stopover to see the rice wine distillation at Ban Sanghai.

After that, we head back to Luang Prabang and visit a weaving village Phanom and Sangkhom where traditional Lao textiles are ewoven on ancient wooden looms. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight at Luang Prabang.

Day 4:  Luang Prabang -Vientiane (B, L, D)

After breakfast visit Luang Prabang Market and the National Museum (the former Royal Palace) before transferring to the airport for the flight back to Vientiane.

On arrival in Vientiane car & guide will welcome you again then transfer to the hotel for check in.

Afternoon, we continue visiting Vientiane with its Cultural and Buddha park Xiengkhuane and   some local workshops producing Buddha statues, woodcarvings, puppets, bronze and copper work. This afternoon we will have a change to view sunset at the riverside of the Mekong. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 5: Vientiane departure (B)

After breakfast visit the Central Morning Market before transfer to the airport for departure flight. Trip ends.
