Vietnam Sea Village Festival

Vietnam Sea Village Festival will take place from June 5 – 8, 2011 in Ninh Thuan Province. This is one of the main activities of Ninh Thuan Province to participate in the National Tourism Year of South Central Coast - Phu Yen 2011 with the theme “Exotic Beaches & Islands”.

 

The Vietnam Sea Village Festival is an opportunity for residents in the area of sea villages to introduce their localities, promote the potential and strong position to develop sea and island economy, especially sea and island tourism in the future. The festival is also a chance to create unique highlights as well as promote brand of "Ninh Thuan Tourism" and the South Central Coast tourism.

 

The Vietnam Sea Village Festival is an open festival to introduce local characters and exchange culture between different regions in and out of Vietnam. The opening and closing ceremony of the festival will be held at the square in the center of Phan Rang-Thap Cham City. The festival will be imbrued with cultural color of the habitants in the South Central Coast provinces by art programs with specific, unique and interesting characteristics of the sea villages such as ba trao singing, Ca Ong worshipping custom, chantey… All programs which take place during the festival will be impressive, no duplicative and focus on broadcasting to the public, particularly to the potential customers of Ninh Thuan tourism in the Southeast region and Ho Chi Minh City.

 

Visitors participating in the festival will be able to take part in a range of special tours that are designed and associated between the Cham villages, relics and sea and island tours.

 

The festival is not only a chance for domestic and international visitors to explore the feature of the South Central sea and islands but also an opportunity to promote Vietnam sea and island tourism.
