Low pressure, cold front to hit Vietnam

A low pressure area in the East Sea has strengthened into a tropical trough and will bring choppy seas, gusty winds, and heavy rains in central Vietnam, the weather office said early Friday.

According to The National Hydro-Meteorology Forecast Center, the tropical low pressure is active over the Spratly Isands.

Meanwhile, a cold front has been moving southwards from China and is expected to hit many parts of northern Vietnam Saturday.
